General recommendations when handling silk:

Always hand wash silk garments in cold water with a detergent for delicate fabrics and never stretch them while they are still wet. Avoid drying silk with a tumble dryer as this can damage the fabric. Avoid direct contact of silk with alcohol-based products – such as perfumes and hair sprays. When traveling, roll up silk products rather than folding them before putting them in your luggage.
