Polonie – Dream & Wear luxury collections are far from fast fashion industry concepts. Each piece is handmade designed and ethically produced in EU – by the independent seamstresses in Slovenia and small family-owned production companies in Croatia. Therefore, the collections are limited and unique, but above all sustainable and comfortable.

The founder of the brand, Polona Eržen, started her career in fashion store management and visual merchandising but later shifted to law. However, the dream of creating her own brand was born over a decade ago and was finally ready to come true in 2022.
“My main purpose and drive is to create timeless garments that feel comfortable and luxurious. Each sample first piece of the collection is made to my measurements and ideas and is first worn by me so that I can personally check the quality of the material, workmanship and visual appearance before the item is approved for production. I want every woman to feel as I do in my clothes – comfortable, stylish and ready to conquer the world and overcome all challenges! My vision is to create sustainable clothes that can be worn for day activities and evening outings, whatever the season and without having a negative impact on the environment.”

In contrast to fast fashion trends, we pay a lot of attention to sustainability and awareness-raising.
Brand business model Polonie Dream & Wear is sustainable and well thought-out – low stock levels, the ability to make garments to order, quality and comfortable fabrics, multi-functional and timeless cuts, and minimal impact on the environment.
Production. Our garments are ethically and locally sourced by working with independent seamstresses in Slovenia and small family-run production companies in Croatia. The waste textiles produced in the production of our garments are used for further fashion accessorising or donated for social benefit (sewing classes, kindergartens), thus ensuring the efficient use of raw materials.
Durability of materials. To ensure the durability and prolong the life of our items, you can find a number of recommendations and tips for material maintenance in our online shop, as well as specific instructions for silk handling for silk items. Our garments are made of delicate materials and should therefore be washed in cold water without the use of strong detergents. Cold water washing uses less electricity and prevents microfibres and plastics from being released into waterways.
Our ultimate goal is to create fashion with the least possible negative impact on the environment and in a way that encourages social responsibility and local integration.
Responsibility comes in many forms and it always starts with the individual.
Which is why our business model is designed to be as responsible as possible every step of the way.
Social responsibility and ethics. In order to encourage fair pay for human resources and trade in a fair economic chain, our garments are sourced from small companies that have a proven track record of paying their employees fairly and maintaining good working conditions and environments. Our material suppliers are companies from Italy with verified supply chains.
Environmental responsibility. Due to the use of mainly natural materials (biodegradable silk), less waste is produced during production, and the lifespan of the clothes is longer. Local production means short supply chains (reduction of transport routes, fewer greenhouse gas emissions) and greater energy savings. Our packaging is environmentally friendly and does not contain plastic.
